Win! One of two SRAM groupsets
WORTH £1,450
What better way to start your off-season training plan than with a swanky new groupset to pedal your way towards a new PB! (Not to mention ensuring you're the envy of all your multisporting buddies.) So, lucky for you that this month we've teamed up with leading bike component outfit SRAM to offer two readers the chance to win one of their top-of-the-range groupsets.
The first name to be shifted from the 220 workshop will crank it up on a SRAM Force groupset, worth an almighty £899. Built for racing, the Force features SRAM's revolutionary technology, 'DoubleTap', which uses single levers that move in one direction for seamless up and downshifting. They combine with dedicated levers for braking for superior rider control. The Force also employs Exact Actuation, a ratio that delivers precise 3mm shifts in every gear along with the widest range of adjustment available; and OpenGlide on a semi-spidered cassette, which reduces specific amounts of material from the smaller cogs, creating a cogset that shifts efficiently in all situations.
With an overall weight of just 2,096g, the SRAM Force is one of the lightest groupsets on the market and a favourite of many a pro athlete, including the current Ironman South Africa champions Bella Comerford and Stephen Bayliss.
The second winner will take home the equally impressive SRAM Rival groupset, worth £549, which boasts similar functions to the SRAM Force, and again includes the DoubleTap, Exact Actuation and OpenGlide settings. The SRAM Rival uses aluminium and stainless steel for durability and strength, and weighs in at 2,220g.
